What Rivit collects

When you use Rivit, the following information is collected:

• Account information: your email address and name, provided during sign-up.
• Goal and check-in data: the goals you create, the check-ins you write, and the results of automated evaluations.
• Usage data: app opens, feature usage, and basic interaction patterns that help improve the product.

How your data is used

Your data powers the core product and helps improve it:

• Check-in evaluation: your check-in text and goal context are sent to a third-party AI service for evaluation. No other personal data is included in that request.
• App functionality: your goals, check-ins, and preferences drive blocking, streaks, reviews, and progress tracking.
• Product improvement: aggregated, anonymized usage data helps identify which features matter and where the product falls short.

Data storage

Rivit stores your account data, goals, and check-ins in an encrypted cloud-hosted database. All data is encrypted at rest.

During onboarding, some data lives locally in a database on your device before your account is created. That data moves to the cloud once you sign up.

Third-party services

Rivit relies on a small number of third-party services. Each receives only the minimum data required:

• Payment processor: handles payment processing. The processor receives your payment method and billing details. Rivit never sees or stores your full card number.
• Email service provider: sends transactional emails like account verification and password resets. The provider receives your email address and the email content.
• AI evaluation service: evaluates your daily check-ins against your goals. The service receives only the check-in text and goal context needed for evaluation.

What Rivit does not do

Your data is yours. Rivit never sells it to anyone. It is never shared with advertisers. Check-in content sent for evaluation is used only for that real-time evaluation and is never used for model training.

Your rights

You have full control over your data:

• Data export: request a full export of your data at any time by contacting support.
• Data deletion: request that your account and all associated data be deleted. Deletion requests are processed promptly.
• Cancel anytime: cancel your subscription at any time through the app. Your data remains available until you request deletion.

Cookies

Rivit uses cookies solely for authentication tokens to keep you signed in. There are no tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party cookie-based tracking.

Site and app blocking

Rivit's blocking feature modifies your local hosts file to block distracting websites and monitors running processes to block distracting applications. All of this happens entirely on your device. Your blocked site list, blocked app list, and process monitoring data never leave your machine.
